Response To COVID-19

With the concerning news around COVID-19 we are writing to keep everyone up to date on the current status of Filmtools. As of today, March 17th, Filmtools will be implementing additional measures to mitigate the risk of exposure for both our customers and for our employees. Below you will find updated information regarding store hours, will-call order pick-up, product returns, customer service and online order status.

We hope this note finds you and your family safe as the COVID-19 health crisis continues to impact communities across the country and world.  

Since 1995 we have been an essential supplier of technology products to filmmakers, health care providers, government agencies, public safety, data centers, broadcasters, internet content providers and educational facilities. In this unprecedented time we are making key changes to our operations to combat the spread of this virus to protect our community and our team. Below are the actions we are taking:

The Flagship Filmtools Store will be temporarily closed. We will continue to focus on making sure you and our team safe and healthy as we navigate these difficult times.

As of January 5, 2021 the satellite location on Kenmere will also be temporarily closed.

However, curbside shopping will coninue to be available. We adhere to enhanced safety measures per CDC guidelines. For your safety, and that of our employees, we ask that you wear a face mask or covering before approaching our pick-up window.

As federal and state guidelines continue to change, there will be additional efforts that we are taking:

  • Closely watching and following guidelines from public health agencies, as well as guidelines from the city, state, and federal government
  • Implementing a work from home protocol for our office employees beginning on 3/18
  • Taking aggressive steps to minimize risk at our warehouse  

Our online and telephone channels as well as warehouse pick up of online orders remain open for business, which will continue as long as we can do so safely. Our sales and customer service teams are available to answer your questions via phone, email, chat or social (though they will be working remotely for the time being).

To our B2B, Corporate, Government, and Education customers: our online portals are active and sales representatives are available to answer any questions.   

We are navigating through difficult and uncertain times and we will continue to monitor and react to the most updated news as we receive it. Please stay safe and healthy in these challenging times.

However, to better server customers who needs a more hands-on assistance, our satellite location on Kenmere will now be open for curbside shopping and appointments. We have returned to offer the same high-quality in-store experience, now with enhanced safety measures per CDC guidelines. Filmtools Store:

At this time the Filmtools store will remain open, with reduced hours, for customers to shop for their production related needs. On top of our normal daily cleaning, we have increased our efforts to clean high traffic surfaces on an hourly basis. Our team members have received additional social distancing training and will be wearing gloves to protect both your health and theirs. To limit crowded, we are implementing a limit on the number of customers in the store. The hours of the store moving forward are:

Kenmere Will-Call Pick Up & Returns:

Our will-call will also have a new system where we will limit the number of customers permitted in the will-call area. We will ask customers to wait outside the facility as we process one pick up at a time. We will also ask customers returning items to observe a one in one out system.

Customer Service:

Our customer service representatives will continue to be available via phone, email and chat to answer questions.

Online:

Our website remains open for business. As long as we are safely able to continue we will take and ship orders on available products. Updates will also be continually posted on the website on our dedicated COVID-19 page.
