IO quick-change integration
The IO-EXT8 uses Triad-Orbit's IO quick-change connection system, mating directly with any IO-equipped stand, boom, wall plate, grip clamp, or accessory in the lineup. No threading, no tools, and no adapters required - attach it to any IO receiver and it is ready to use immediately. The IO connection is as secure as any other IO joint and releases just as quickly for repositioning or removal.
Video, audio, and lighting use
The extension is application-neutral - it adds reach between any two IO components regardless of what is mounted at the end. Common uses include pushing a microphone further over a drum kit or instrument, extending a small LED light away from a stand post for better angle control, or repositioning a camera mount a few inches further from a wall plate for clearance.
